A volunteer at the Oceanside Public Library since 1975, Charlene is a past President of the Oceanside Library Friends board, a member of the Oceanside Public Library Board of Trustees, President of the Oceanside Public Library Foundation Board of Directors. Charlene was named Caltec Trustee of the year in 2005.
She has been married to Dr. Robert Williamson for 60+ years, and the couple has four adult children and ten grandchildren, all of whom are avid readers.
Charlene is a graduate in Journalism from San Diego State University, with secondary credentials in English and Journalism.
