The Oceanside Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2003 to solicit, receive and administer gifts and bequests for the benefit of the Oceanside Public Library to meet the growing and ever-changing needs of our diverse community.
The Foundation is currently planning support for two major projects:
- New Shelving for Mission Branch Library
- Replacement of carpet on the stairs of the Civic Center Library
Shelving replacement at the Mission Branch is being planned to coincide with City-Funded carpeting replacement to minimize the cost and impact on the community.
The planned replacement of the carpeting on the stairs in the Civic Center Library is due to the volume of traffic exceeding expectations and causing premature wear. The carpeting will be replaced with a more durable material specifically designed for stairways.
