The mission of the Oceanside Public Library Foundation is to ensure continuing excellence of public library services for the present and future generations of Oceanside residents by private fundraising and building an endowment for the support of the Library.
Money raised by the Foundation serves to supplement the operating budget of the public library to enhance facilities, collections and services beyond what tax dollars provide. The Oceanside Public Library Foundation provides funding of special library projects that complements, but does not supplant the City of Oceanside’s responsibility for continued funding of the Oceanside Public Library.
Primary objectives
The primary objectives of the Oceanside Public Library Foundation are:
- To solicit, manage and distribute funds donated for the enhancement of library facilities and services.
- To invest wisely the acquired monies for the production of income needed for improvement of Oceanside Public Library.
- To support special projects at the request of the Library Director.
